Recent Arrest of Former Home Improvement Star for Domestic Violence
A former star from the popular 1990s sitcom, Home Improvement, has recently been arrested on charges of domestic violence. This isn’t the first time the star has faced such charges, as he has had multiple legal troubles in the past few years. The actor was visibly injured during his arrest, with cuts on his cheek, lips, chin, and a red mark on his forehead.
Arrest on New Year’s Day
Zachery Ty Bryan, who played Brad Taylor, the eldest son of Tim Taylor on the show, was arrested on New Year’s Day in South Carolina. He was charged with second-degree domestic violence after getting into a physical fight during a domestic issue. Bryan has been held at Horry County Jail, with a bond set at $10,000.
History of Legal Troubles
This recent arrest is not the first legal trouble Bryan has faced. In February 2024, he was arrested for a DUI in California, leading to a felony charge. In July 2023, he was also arrested for alleged domestic violence. In October 2020, he faced misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault and other charges, with some being dismissed after pleading guilty to two.
Despite his legal issues, Bryan has had a successful acting career, appearing in various TV shows and movies, including a role in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. He seemingly retired from acting around 2009 but made a brief appearance in the 2022 Netflix series, The Guardians of Justice.
