Over the Garden Wall is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a brand-new stop-motion animated quick movie.
Over the Garden Wall is an animated miniseries created by Patrick McHale for Cartoon Community. It was initially broadcast via the week of November 3 to November 7, 2014. It gained an Emmy Award for Excellent Animated Program.
In honor of Over the Garden Wall now turning 10, Cartoon Community has introduced a brand new stop-motion animated quick movie that will likely be launched this coming November.
“Our #OvertheGardenWall anniversary gift — a two-minute stop motion animated short in collaboration with @Patrick_McHale and @aardman,” Cartoon Community’s X submit reads. “Coming Nov 3 to Youtube/social.”
McHale confirmed and retweeted the information, saying, “New 2-minute Over the Garden Wall short is coming Nov 3rd! In stop-motion! It’s pretty beautiful, I think, and I hope people like it. Follow @cartoonnetwork & @aardman for more info and posts along the way.”
What’s Over the Garden Wall about?
“Two brothers, Wirt and Greg, find themselves lost in the Unknown; a strange forest adrift in time. With the help of a wise old Woodsman and a foul-tempered bluebird named Beatrice, Wirt and Greg must travel across this strange land, in hope of finding their way home,” the official synopsis reads. “Join them as they encounter surprises and obstacles on their journey through the wood.”
The voice forged for the sequence consists of Elijah Wooden as Wirt, Collin Dean as Greg, Melanie Lynskey as Beatrice, Christopher Lloyd as the Woodsman, Jack Jones as Greg’s Frog, Samuel Ramey as the Beast, Tim Curry as Auntie Whispers, John Cleese as Quincy Endicott and Adelaide, and Shirley Jones as Beatrice’s Mom.
All ten episodes of Over the Garden Wall (every of which is roughly 11 minutes in size) are presently streaming on Hulu. The brand new stop-motion animated quick will likely be launched on November 3, 2024.
