The honorees for technical achievement awards include individuals like Essex Edwards, James Jacobs, Jernej Barbic, Crawford Doran, and Andrew van Straten for their work on Ziva VFX, a system for simulating digital characters. Other recipients include Javor Kalojanov and Kimball Thurston for Wētā FX’s ML Denoiser, Neeme Vaino for Fireskin360 Naked Burn Gel, Dustin Brooks and Colin Decker for developing naked burn gel, Attila T. Áfra for Intel Open Image Denoise, and more.
In the category of Scientific and Engineering Awards, individuals like Jayson Dumenigo for Action Factory Hydrogels, Thijs Vogels, Fabrice Rousselle, David Adler, Gerhard Röthlin, and Mark Meyer for Disney’s ML Denoiser, Nir Averbuch, Yair Chuchem, and Dan Raviv for Auto Align Post 2, Curt Schaller and Dr. Roman Foltyn for the Trinity 2 system, Steve Wagner and others for their contributions to advancements in camera stabilization technology are being recognized.
