XXXTENTACION’s memory continues to live on through his music and, it turns out, a collection of books that played an instrumental role in shaping his outlook on life.
On a new episode of the GG33 Podcast that was uploaded on Sunday (November 26), host Gary The Numbers Guy spoke to the late rapper’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard. At one point, the conversation shifted to her son’s book collection, which was relevant to the show since its focus is spirituality and numerology.
“One of the greatest young minds in music history was influenced by numerology and astrology himself, and the occult, correct?” Garky asked Cleo, which she agreed with.
“This is his mother telling you this. Beautiful,” he replied.
The Floridian’s bookshelf, which gives viewers insight into “where his mind was,” consists of literature on the occult, witchcraft, magic, alchemy and mythology, among other things. Check out the clip below:

XXXTENTACION was far from the only rapper to dabble in astrology.
For instance, SZA has previously expressed a devout belief in astrology, and back in 2019 asked her astrologer Jaadee to publish her full chart on Twitter.
“Right Thurr” hitmaker Chingy has also expressed devotion to esoteric studies. Back in 2014, he opened up about it.
“If you’re not an open-minded person, you don’t understand these things or get it, and some people just think you’re talking crazy, but I’ve always thought the planets, the stars, everything, these things go along with us,” Chingy said in an interview with XXL.
“Without the sun, you and me wouldn’t be here. So the sun plays a major role in our lives in some ways; it provides heat—it’s good, because it provides heat—if you use too much of the heat, it can be bad for you.
“So that’s where you get that good and evil. And I’ve always said life has its polarity, and that’s good and evil and there are degrees in between it. But like I said, the planets and everything, they play a role in our lives, and we don’t—and a lot of people don’t, because they don’t go to school and study things like that to see what these things mean—they have no knowledge about it, so they just dismiss it.”
