Robert Pattinson reunites with director Brady Corbet ten years after working together on Corbet’s first feature film. Pattinson praised Corbet for his indie film “The Brutalist,” calling it a “true work of art” and an “astounding technical feat.” This marks their second collaboration after “The Childhood of a Leader,” which won awards at the Venice Film Festival in 2015. The screenplay for “The Brutalist” was co-written by Corbet and Mona Fastvold.
During the 2025 New York Film Critics Circle ceremony, Pattinson presented the Best Film Award to Corbet and his team for “The Brutalist.” Lead actor Adrien Brody also received the Best Actor award at the same event.
Pattinson commended Corbet’s ability to create a visually stunning film on a small budget, shooting in just over 33 days for under $10 million. He encouraged audiences to see the film on the big screen, praising the performances of Brody and Pearce.
