There’s no better time than the present for hardstyle.
Showtek are returning to their first love: hardstyle. Revealing their triumphant return to the genre after over a decade, the brotherly duo have announced a new hard dance album. Titled 360 Blue, the record will feature collaborations with Sub Zero Project, DJ Isaac and Wildstylez.
The lead single from the upcoming album, “Dear Hardstyle,” transports us back to Showtek’s roots. Featuring Earl St. Clair, the track was premiered during their anticipated comeback performance at Qlimax 2023, which was 15 years in the making.
“We wanted to create a track that describes how the scene has always stayed with us and the unity that hardstyle brings,” Showtek said in a press release shared with EDM.com. “We believe ‘Dear Hardstyle’ allowed us to convey our emotions and love for the music in a way we haven’t done before.”
“Dear Hardstyle” begins with a rush of energy and quickly unleashes into a distorted, frenetic sound bath. That energy tapers off when St. Clair enters the fray with a heartfelt message to the hardstyle genre and love for its tight-knit community.
Earlier this summer, Showtek reunited with Sonny Wilson after 10 years to release “Feeling.” Their anthem, “Booyah,” had dominated music festivals around the globe after its release in 2013 and ultimately became one of the most celebrated big room records of all-time.
“Dear Hardstyle” is out now on Q-dance Records and you can find the new single on streaming platforms here. Showtek have not yet announced a release date for 360 Blue at the time of writing.
