Tachyum® announces the successful porting of all four National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) quantum-safe algorithms to Prodigy® software distributions. This move ensures that data center deployments utilizing Tachyum’s universal processor are quantum-resistant, safeguarding data security for the future.
Quantum computing is an innovative technology that offers superior performance for specific algorithms like optimization and molecular simulation. However, it also poses a threat to data security with the development of Shor’s algorithm, which is expected to compromise current data security methods within the next five years.
The software engineering team at Tachyum has successfully ported and verified NIST’s selected quantum-resistant asymmetric algorithms – ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA, and Falcon to Prodigy. Additionally, Prodigy supports the quantum-safe AES-256 standard, which has been optimized for enhanced performance. Tachyum’s post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is now integrated into all Prodigy platforms.
