Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Ahsoka episode 4
Summary
The ending of Ahsoka episode 4 is huge for Star Wars fans, prompting a frenzy of excited reactions online from many who are likely still in disbelief. Played by Rosario Dawson, the titular Ahsoka Tano and her apprentice Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) faced the agents of Lady Morgan Elsbeth who are working toward the return of Imperial leader Grand Admiral Thrawn who was exiled to another galaxy. However, the fallout of their showdown has brought back the return of a massively anticipated character first.
Now, Star Wars fans are clearly very excited about what’s to come following the major twists seen in Ahsoka episode 4’s ending. Not only did Sabine Wren join forces with Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati to find Ezra Bridger, but Ahsoka herself was seemingly killed by Baylan after being forced off the edge of a cliff. However, Ahsoka woke up in what looks to be the Fore netherworld known as the World Between Worlds where she was greeted by none other than her master Anakin Skywalker (with Hayden Christensen returning to the role). Here are some of the best reactions on Twitter so far:
@notemdad can’t believe that Ahsoka episode 4’s epic ending just happened, and their post was even reposted by the main Star Wars page.
@GermainLussier feels like the Ahsoka show has definitely kicked into high gear with great moments from both the show’s villains and heroes.
@popetheking has been screaming and weeping with joy over the pure excitement of Ahsoka episode 4 and the great setup for next week’s episode. To that end, there’s bound to be plenty more Star Wars who are weeping just as hard.
@giselleb1234 was a major fan of Hayden Christensen’s first line as Anakin in Ahsoka episode 4. The culmination of 15 years, “Hello Snips” definitely pulls at the heartstrings for all who watched The Clone Wars when it first aired back in 2009.
@dejaCorra believes all Star Wars fans should be bowing down to Ahsoka showrunner Dave Filoni after such an exciting episode, having posted the classic meme among Star Wars fans where Filoni’s face is hilariously superimposed over the sun.
Hayden Christensen’s Return Has Left Star Wars Fans Delighted
Clearly, Star Wars fans are absolutely overjoyed by Christensen’s return as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka. It’s certainly a groundbreaking moment, the World Between Worlds serving as the first time the master and apprentice have ever met in live-action in the Star Wars franchise. Likewise, what’s even more exciting is that his appearance in Ahsoka episode 4 is clearly only the beginning with the ending teasing much more to come in Ahsoka episode 5 (which just so happens to be directed by Filoni himself).
At any rate, Ahsoka episode 4 can easily be considered the best episode in the series thus far. Beyond the amazing return of Anakin, the episode features some incredibly dynamic performances and some incredibly engaging lightsaber duels. It’s certainly a major win for Lucasfilm and the Star Wars franchise overall based on these reactions alone.
Ahsoka releases new episodes Tuesdays at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET on Disney+.
