The highly anticipated Spider-Man 4 release date has been slightly delayed by Sony Pictures. The fourth entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise is now set to be released on July 31, 2026, a week later than the original date of July 24, 2026. This places the release almost three months after Avengers: Doomsday, where Tom Holland is rumored to make an appearance as Spider-Man.
Although details about Spider-Man 4 are scarce, Holland hinted that the movie will be different from what fans may expect. Destin Daniel Cretton is in negotiations to direct the film, taking over from Jon Watts, who directed the previous three Holland-led superhero movies. Cretton, known for directing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, was originally set to direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty but left the project before Jonathan Majors’ departure from Marvel.
With the official release date set and details slowly emerging, Marvel Studios’ upcoming theatrical lineup includes Spider-Man 4. Stay tuned for more updates on the film as production progresses.
