Shoplifters from 2018 is a Japanese film about family and poverty. It has similarities to Korean smash-hit Parasite. In my opinion they are about equally good.
This is one of those films that stays with you, makes you feel and think. Actress Sakura Ando could (should probably) have received an Oscar nomination for her performance as the 'mother' character.
Just wanted to give people a recommendation. Those who want to find something to watch, and if you like Parasite, give this one a look.
