She went to Isla Mujeres, a five-mile-long Mexican island off the shore of Cancun, and fell for it. She returned for routine gos to, satisfying various other Americans that had actually relocated there, and began assuming: “They get to live there. Why not me?” The response was job– she was an expert at a modern technology company, and could not simply quit and move to an island.
To make this large modification in her life, she required a strategy. So she wrote one: She called it The Getaway Strategy– “my detailed, step-by-step plan on how I would quit my job and move to a Caribbean island,” she claims.
