Shane Gillis is battling to workshop jokes in a promo for his Saturday Evening Live holding launching.
The comic is holding the upcoming episode of NBC’s illustration funny reveal along with music visitor 21 Savage.
In the video clip launched on Wednesday, Gillis is evaluating a few of his jokes for his monologue for SNL castmembers Marcello Hernández and Sarah Sherman, however they aren’t landing also well.
“I went to an Amish wedding once. I was the only one there who could do the Electric Slide,” he claims, obtaining an uncomfortable laugh from Hernández and Sherman.

In one more SNL promo launched on Friday, Gillis is standing beside 21 Savage and Kenan Thompson as he advertises the future program. In one clip, the comic is putting on black sunglasses to match the rap artist.
“We gonna talk about the sunglasses?” Thompson asks as Gillis reacts,“I don’t know what you’re talking about. These are cool.”
Thompson proceeds, “Are you trying to be like 21 Savage?” however Gillis asserts that he isn’t. The rap artist continues to develop the comic’s self-confidence, informing him, “I think you look alright.”
Gillis’ transform as host comes years after he was terminated from SNL in 2019 soon after being cast on the illustration funny reveal when racial and homophobic slurs he made use of on a podcast resurfaced.
