Dual Oscar-nominee Rooney Mara is all finished up, actually, with her co-star Raúl Briones in her brand-new movie, La Cocina. In the motion picture, the English-language launching of Mexican supervisor Alonso Ruizpalacios (A Police Officer Motion Picture, Museo), Mara plays Julia, an American waitress functioning the high-stress lunch thrill in the Manhattan dining establishment The Grill, whose connection with undocumented Mexican grill chef Pedro (Briones) will be tested.
The main posters for the movie, solely exposed to The Hollywood Press reporter, reveal the Ladies Chatting and Lady With the Dragon Tattoo starlet back-to-back with Briones, bound with each other by a apparently endless ticker tape of lunch orders. In the lower edge, a loosened lobster seems making a break for flexibility.
A 2nd poster programs Mara cleansing the glass of the lobster container while Briones views on. Immersed inside the container is a mini Law of Freedom, symbolic of the (damaged?) pledge of the American desire for migrant employees like Pedro.
Adjusted from Arnold Wesker’s 1957 phase timeless The Cooking area, La Cocina will certainly have its opening night in competitors at the Berlin Movie Event on Friday, Feb. 16. HanWay Movies, 5th Period and WME International are managing globally sales.
