In celebration of Robert Egger’s latest film, Film At Lincoln Center has put together a short series called “Conjuring ‘Nosferatu’: Robert Eggers Presents” running through the weekend. Last night, Eggers delighted the audience at a screening of “Nosferatu” by participating in a Q&A session with Jarin Blaschke, Linda Muir, and Craig Lathrop to discuss the film’s aesthetic.
Robert Eggers also dropped a hint about his upcoming project, “Werwulf,” during the discussion. He revealed that it is a medieval werewolf movie, describing it as the darkest project he has ever written. Fans can expect something truly sinister from this upcoming film, given Eggers’ past works like “The Witch” and “The Lighthouse.”
In “Werwulf,” Eggers will once again collaborate with Icelandic novelist Sjón, whom he worked with on the successful film “The Northman.” With the massive box office success of “Nosferatu,” which grossed $174 million, it is likely that production on “Werwulf” will begin soon.
