Rico Recklezz wants to know if the statute of limitations applies for his old beef with Soulja Boy which resulted in an alleged bounty on his head.
The Chicago rapper sat down for a conversation with Vlad TVthat was published on Wednesday (November 8), where Vlad brought up the beef from 2016. At the time, Soulja allegedly was offering $100,000 to whoever killed Rico, and the rapper jokingly wanted to know if he could still sue for that.
“Somebody said I coulda sued him on some shit but I’m like man, that’s like snitching. You think I woulda got paid for that?” Rico laughed. “I coulda really got paid, huh? Is it too late? Aye boy, give me that bread right now, boy!”

The rift between the two artists started when Recklezz dissed Soulja Boy on his 2016 freestyle, “No Talking” ripping him for beefing with Lil Yachty.
“Soulja hoe-ass keep dissing Yachty, his bitch-ass ain’t even got no bodies/ Talking tough on Twitter, but his scary-ass was scared to come to the lobby,” Recklezz raps.
After catching wind of the diss, Soulja Boy took to Twitter to respond: “I just made a million dollars what I look like dissin an unsigned Chicago rapper? Fuck rap beef we really doing drills … he want some clout.”
A short while later, Soulja Boy followed up on his previous tweet, typing: “He gone be dead before 2017. We sliding. I got 100k on his head.”
In response, Recklezz replied: “FUK IT LETS BOX 1 ON 1 FOR 10K @souljaboy WE CAN YOUTUBE IT TMZ IT WATEVA WEN U READY ????”
Months later, however, Soulja Boy seemingly backtracked while FaceTiming a member of Rico’s team from California, saying, “We don’t even play those types of games.” The conversation was captured on camera and subsequently posted online.
“We don’t do the threats,” Rico’s team member allegedly said to Soulja Boy. “Don’t ever think you can put no money on a n-gga’s head from Chicago, ‘cause it ain’t about no money down here. It’s easy to find ya, blood. And you see you ain’t hard to find, n-gga. Period.”
In response, Soulja Boy said: “That n-gga put my name in a song, bro. Them tweets weren’t even about him. I’m on paperwork right now, so we don’t even play those types of games. Ain’t nobody gon’ put no money on nobody’s head, none of that bro. A n-gga just need to holla at me… I need me and him to talk, feel me.”
