Veteran MCU producer Nate Moore recently explained why the original title of Captain America 4 was changed to Brave New World. The highly anticipated project was initially announced as Captain America: New World Order at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, but later actor Anthony Mackie confirmed a switch to Captain America: Brave New World. Many fans were curious about the reason behind the change, and Moore shed light on the decision in a recent interview.
According to Moore, the title “New World Order” was removed from Captain America 4 due to its associations with current society, as it made people uncomfortable. He revealed this information in a conversation with Empire, stating that the phrase had been co-opted in the real world in a way that caused unease.
Interestingly, “New World Order” was also the title of the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, where it explored the global consequences of Thanos’ snap and established Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America in the MCU.
Captain America 4, now known as Captain America: Brave New World, is set to be released on February 14, 2025. Directed by Julius Onah, the film will star Harrison Ford, Anthony Mackie, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson.
