The Palisades Fire has devastated Palisades Charter High School, a popular location for Hollywood productions. NBC Los Angeles reported that the fire has damaged several structures on the PCHS campus and has nearly destroyed the Theater Palisades next to it. Earlier in the day, PCHS announced its closure due to the fire. California Gov. Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency, leading to the evacuation of nearly 30,000 people.
Palisades Charter High School is a renowned filming location, featured in various movies and TV shows such as Carrie, Savage Streets, Freaky Friday, Teen Wolf, Project X, and Crazy/Beautiful. The school has produced many Hollywood talents like J.J. Abrams, will.i.am, Forest Whitaker, and Jennifer Jason Lee. With its rich history in the entertainment industry, PCHS has become a significant hub for filmmaking.
