The successful revival of Our Town, featuring Jim Parsons, Zoey Deutch, and Katie Holmes, concluded its limited run at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre with record-breaking earnings. Directed by Kenny Leon, the Thornton Wilder play grossed $1.08 million and played to 95 percent capacity, with an average ticket price of $134.51. Our Town premiered on Broadway on Oct. 10.
Wicked retained its position as the top-grossing show of the week, bringing in $2.6 million, followed by Hamilton with $1.9 million and Gypsy with $1.89 million. Jeremy Jordan bid farewell to The Great Gatsby, which earned $1.85 million, before joining the cast of Floyd Collins. The Lion King rounded out the top five with $1.7 million in earnings.
Last week marked Cole Escola’s final scheduled performances in Oh, Mary!, generating $1.25 million in revenue and playing to full capacity at the Lyceum Theatre. Betty Gilpin will take over the lead role, supported by Phillip James Brannon and Chris Renfro stepping into new roles.
Following Nicole Scherzinger’s return to Sunset Blvd. after a brief hiatus, the production saw a spike in earnings to $1.6 million, playing to 97 percent capacity at the St. James Theatre.
Overall, the Broadway industry saw a substantial increase in revenue, totaling $33.4 million for the week, marking a 41.47 percent rise from the same period in 2024. Season-to-date earnings are up nearly 18 percent compared to the previous season.
