The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has made changes to the Oscar nomination voting process and announcement date due to the wildfires impacting Los Angeles. Oscar nomination voting has been extended by two days and will now close on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The nominations announcement, initially scheduled for Friday, Jan. 17, has been moved to Sunday, Jan. 19.
Additionally, screenings and pre-nomination events in select categories have been rescheduled. These adjustments come in response to the wildfires affecting Los Angeles and the entertainment industry as a whole.

In light of these changes, the Oscars Nominations Announcement will now take place on Sunday, Jan. 19. Further details on the announcement will be shared soon. The adjustments also affect Shortlist Screenings, Bake-Offs, and the Academy Museum.
