The team behind Brooklyn’s popular music venue, Baby’s All Right, is launching a new music space in New York City’s iconic Pyramid Club. Night Club 101 is set to open in the East Village early next year, with a special preview club night in collaboration with Pitchfork on Thursday, December 19. Hosted by AdHoc, the event will showcase performances by RP Boo, Dazegxd b2b Intimacy Simulator, Anysia Kym, DJ Ess, New York, Alphonse Pierre, and Mano. Tickets can be purchased here, with doors opening at 9:00 p.m. EST and the show kicking off at 10:00 p.m. EST.
Night Club 101, named after its location at 101 Avenue A, will be a hub for diverse live performances and DJ sets spanning across indie-rock, jazz, electronic, and experimental genres. The venue’s calendar will also feature art exhibitions, themed dance nights, multi-disciplinary acts, community-focused events, and more.
Billy Jones and Tom Moore, along with Knitting Factory Entertainment, are leading the charge in establishing this new space, drawing from their success with Baby’s All Right and past venues like Elvis Guesthouse and the Dance. They aim to celebrate the rich history of the Pyramid Club, a pivotal space for New York’s underground art, fashion, and queer scenes for many years. Iconic artists such as Madonna, RuPaul, ANOHNI, and others got their start at the club.
Jones expressed his excitement for the new venture, stating, “This space carries a wealth of history, and we are thrilled to honor its remarkable legacy. At the same time, we look forward to pushing boundaries and creating a dynamic space that embodies the spirit of experimentation that defines New York City, the city that drew me here 23 years ago.”
Don’t miss out on the grand opening of Night Club 101, where music, art, and culture collide in the heart of the East Village. Get your tickets now for an unforgettable night of music and celebration.
