Milla Jovovich to star in Twilight of the Dead, the closing film in George A. Romero’s iconic zombie franchise.
Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich is getting ready to battle the undead as soon as once more as Deadline experiences that she’s set to star in Twilight of the Dead, which is being billed as the seventh and closing installment of George A. Romero’s iconic zombie franchise. Betty Gabriel (Get Out) may even star in the film, which is ready to be directed by Brad Anderson (Session 9).
Twilight of the Dead is ready on a tropical island and can “delve into the dark nature of humanity from the perspective of the last humans on earth who are caught between factions of the undead.” Romero had been engaged on the venture earlier than he died in 2017, and his spouse, Suzanne Desrocher-Romero, made positive it could dwell on. Greg Nicotero, who received his star on Romero’s Day of the Dead, will create the make-up results, so the undead are in superb arms. The George A. Romero property is teaming up with Roundtable Leisure on the venture.

In an announcement, director Brad Anderson stated, “I see this movie in the similar approach as profitable post-apocalyptic thrillers akin to I Am Legend, A Quiet Place, The Highway, and The Final of Us — style tales which are as emotional as they’re intense. After I first learn Twilight of The Dead I teared up at the finish. Which is bizarre for a movie of this kind. However it has that sort of pull, that combo of horror and heartbreak that I like.“
Suzanne Desrocher-Romero added: “It’s with nice pleasure to work with my companions at Roundtable to lastly get the final of George A Romero’s the Dead canon out to the followers. It’s what the followers have longed for and with Brad Anderson at the helm it is going to be sensational!“
Roundtable Leisure’s Sarah Donnelly stated, “We’re thrilled to share Milla Jovovich’s return to the zombie style in this recent and unique approach with Twilight of the Dead. With Brad’s masterful, visionary path and Milla’s distinctive skill to command the display as a Bona fide motion star with emotional depth and resiliency, there’s little doubt this movie can be a riveting, compelling standout in the style.“
