Mia Rodgers Discusses Season 3 and Renee Rapp

Rejoice, fans of The Sex Lives of College Girls: The students are back at Essex College for another season of female debauchery. Season 3 of the hit sitcom on HBO Max has returned with familiar faces like Amrit Kaur, Pauline Chalamet, Reneé Rapp, and Alyah Chanelle Scott as Bela, Kimberly, Leighton, and Whitney, respectively, after a two-year wait. Created by Mindy Kaling and showrunner Justin Noble, new episodes are dropping every Thursday starting Nov. 21.

The latest installment picks up from where the last season left off with loose ends still to be tied up. Whitney catches Kimberly kissing Canaan, leading her to reconsider rooming with Kimberly. Bela faces repercussions at The Foxy and considers transferring schools, while Leighton quits Kappa before reconciling with Alicia, played by Midori Francis. As Rapp’s last season, Mia Rodgers joins the cast as Essex College first-year international student Taylor, alongside Gracie Lawrence as Kacey.

The show’s humor may be American, but Rodgers, a Brit fresh out of drama school, landed the starring role after just two auditions. The experience was nerve-wracking, with Rodgers surprised by the opportunity but ultimately ecstatic to join the seasoned cast. Her character, Taylor, brings a new dynamic to the group with her distinct British humor and dry wit, adding an interesting dynamic to the group dynamics.

Working with the talented and hilarious cast was a memorable experience for Rodgers, who found the environment welcoming and supportive.
