SZA is set to join Kendrick Lamar as a special guest for the Super Bowl LIX halftime show tonight, where she will debut four new songs. The updated version of her track “Joni” featuring Don Toliver, along with “Take You Down,” “PSA,” and “Open Arms (Just SZA)” have been added to her latest album SOS Deluxe: Lana.
SZA recently dropped her highly anticipated SOS expansion, Lana, in December, which includes hits like “Saturn” and a new collaboration with Kendrick Lamar called “30 for 30.” Just over a month after its release, SZA took home the 2025 Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for her song “Saturn.”
Tonight, SZA will reunite with Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl halftime show, where they will perform together. The duo, who have a history of collaboration dating back to their time on Top Dawg Entertainment, recently worked together on Lamar’s surprise album GNX and the Lana deluxe album. Fans can also catch Lamar and SZA on the upcoming Grand National Tour starting in April, which includes a series of massive stadium concerts.
In addition to her music career, SZA also stars alongside Keke Palmer in the new movie “One of Them Days.” For a review of the film, check out Alphonse Pierre’s article “SZA and Keke Palmer Aim to Join the Buddy-Comedy Canon” on Pitch.
