A luxurious mansion in the Pacific Palisades, rumored to have been featured in the popular TV show Succession, has been ravaged by the ongoing fires in Los Angeles.
The mansion, said to belong to tech executive Austin Russell, is believed to be the same lavish property seen in the fourth season premiere of the hit HBO series. The Daily Mail has shared images showing the once grand estate now reduced to ashes and charred debris.
The grand estate, known as the San Onofre estate, boasted six bedrooms, 18 bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen designed by Nobu, a 20-seat movie theater, and various other luxury amenities. Built in 2020 by developer Ardie Tavangarian, the property was sold to Russell for a staggering $83 million in 2021.
Russell, the CEO of Luminar, a leading automotive technology company, has lost his mansion to the wildfires currently devastating Los Angeles. These fires, including the Palisades fire, have claimed many lives and destroyed thousands of structures across the area since they began earlier this week.
Unfortunately, the destruction caused by the fires extends beyond residential properties. Several filming locations for popular TV shows and movies have also been affected, including a mansion in Altadena featured in Hacks and the Palisades Charter High School, known for its appearances in movies like Carrie and Freaky Friday.
Despite the widespread devastation, some iconic locations, such as the Altadena house used as the exterior for the Walsh family home in Beverly Hills, 90210, have been spared from the flames.
