Kyle Richards EXPOSES Depression & Almost QUITTING ‘RHOBH’ Over Marriage & Lesbian Rumors!
Kyle Richards shares her struggles with depression and thoughts of leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 due to pressure surrounding her marriage and alleged lesbian relationship with Morgan Wade.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kyle Richards opens up about experiencing depression for the first time, stating, “I just didn’t have it in me anymore. I was at a point where I was so depressed.”
“I’m not someone who gets depressed. I’ve had anxiety my whole life but never depression. I really felt like I was struggling with depression, and I expressed that. And I just felt like I could not go into scenarios all the time and just have everyone coming at me.”
She continued, “People I thought were my friends, all of a sudden it felt like they weren’t. I just felt like it was too much with what was going on in my life and I thought, ‘Why would I subject myself to this? I don’t know why I’m continuing to do this.’”
Despite her vulnerable state, Kyle revealed her castmates didn’t provide the support she needed, making it even more challenging. “It was absolutely the closest I’ve ever gotten to not returning to the show,” she confessed.
Taking a break allowed Kyle to receive support from Bravo and her production team, aiding in her recovery and return to filming.
“I took that time until I felt strong again and gathered my thoughts [on] what I wanted to do,” she stated. Kyle returned to keep busy after her husband Mauricio Umansky moved out, highlighting her reluctance to lose her “crew family.” However, not everyone was pleased with her brief absence.
“There were some people who said they were going to hold me accountable for walking out,” Kyle revealed.
Regarding her relationship with Mauricio, Kyle confirmed they remain friendly while navigating their separation together. Although not ready to date, she acknowledges rumors about Mauricio’s relationships.
Kyle Richards anticipated Dorit Kemsley would confront her this season but found the constant drama draining.
She expressed frustration over exaggerated issues with Dorit and highlighted a lack of “girl code” adherence, leading to tension in their relationship. Kyle also described her relationship with PK as close as siblings.
Looking ahead, Kyle aims to become the longest-running housewife in franchise history while being cautious about recommending friends for the show.
“If I’m going to recommend someone I know, they would be a little removed from my life. It’s very hard to navigate your relationships in reality television,” she explained.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
