Jay-Z’s lawyer files motion to dismiss rape accuser’s lawsuit following inconsistencies in Jane Doe’s account

Jay-Z’s attorney is seeking to dismiss a lawsuit accusing the rapper of assaulting a 13-year-old girl after inconsistencies were acknowledged by the woman, known as Jane Doe, in a new NBC News report. The lawsuit, initially filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs in October, was amended to include allegations against Jay-Z for participating in the assault.

In a recent interview with NBC News, the Alabama woman, now 38, recalled the alleged incident from 24 years ago, stating that she was given a spiked drink and assaulted. However, she admitted to some inconsistencies in her recollection, including discrepancies in her interactions with her father and other celebrities present at the party. Images from that night in 2000 also show Jay-Z and Combs at a different location than the one described by the woman.

In response to the NBC News report, Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, stated that the complaint against him was false and filed for financial gain. His attorney, Alex Spiro, called the case “frivolous” and requested its dismissal. Jay-Z also anonymously sued the lawyer who filed the complaint for attempting to blackmail him.

The woman accusing Jay-Z has been urged to reveal her identity or drop the lawsuit, as she has not provided substantial evidence to justify her anonymity. Despite the allegations, the woman’s lawyer remains adamant that her claims are true and is gathering corroborating evidence. The case has caused severe distress for the woman, leading to health issues like seizures.
