In an upcoming episode of ABC’s Shifting Gears, former Tonight Show host Jay Leno will be making a cameo appearance. Leno, a well-known classic car enthusiast who previously hosted Jay Leno’s Garage on CNBC, will bring one of his vehicles into Matt’s custom car shop for repairs. This episode is scheduled to air on March 12 and will also feature high-profile guest stars such as Jenna Elfman and Nancy Travis.
Leno’s appearance on Shifting Gears is a reunion with longtime friend Tim Allen, with whom he has been friends since their days as young stand-up comics in the 1970s. Leno is among the celebrity guest stars lined up for the first season of the show.
The episode airing on March 12 will focus on a storyline involving Riley finding weed gummies in Carter’s pocket, leading to surprising advice from Matt. Meanwhile, Eve’s actions inadvertently cause trouble for Gabriel and Stitch after asking them to donate to a charity auction.
Aside from his television appearances, Leno was recently seen helping out during the wildfires in Los Angeles by serving meals to first responders using a vintage 1941 fire truck.
