James Kennedy Celebrates 48 Days Sober Post Domestic Violence Arrest!
James Kennedy is marking a significant milestone in his journey to sobriety, proudly sharing that he has been sober for 48 days following a recent arrest on a domestic violence charge.
The arrest stemmed from a dispute between James and his former girlfriend, Ally Lewber, at his Burbank residence.
Reports suggest that the altercation was reported by a witness who claimed to have seen James grab Ally, though no physical injuries were reported by officers at the scene. James was taken into custody but was later released on bail without facing charges.
Taking to social media to share his progress, James posted a gym selfie on January 28, wearing all black and captioning the photo “48 days sober,” updating his fans on his sobriety journey.
This recent announcement comes on the heels of his December arrest, which was reportedly linked to a night of drinking at Kathy Hilton’s holiday party.
The disagreement between James and Ally was reportedly focused on his drinking habits, although Ally clarified that she did not sustain any physical harm. She expressed relief that no charges were filed and voiced her support for James’ decision to commit to sobriety.
Despite Ally’s support, the incident strained their relationship, leading to Ally moving out of their shared home and ending the relationship.
In a public statement, James addressed the situation, emphasizing his dedication to change and focusing on his sobriety, personal growth, and a positive future.
Having previously battled with alcohol addiction, James is now committed to his recovery journey after this wake-up call, aiming to return to a healthier lifestyle.
