The International Docudrama Organization (IDA) revealed the winners in 18 groups at the 39th yearly IDA Honors Program on December 12, 2023, which live premiered on IDA’s YouTube network. A document variety of IDA participants cast ballots for this year’s Best Feature Docudrama and Best Brief Docudrama candidates. Independent evaluating boards chosen winners in all various other groups.
The Best Feature Docudrama Award mosted likely to NatGeo’s “Bobi Wine: The People’s President,” which adheres to Uganda’s 2021 governmental political election and songs celebrity, lobbyist, and resistance leaderBobi Wine “The awareness this film has brought to world audiences,” stated co-director Moses Bwayo, “has arguably kept Bobi Wine alive and out of prison for now.”
This year’s Best Supervisor was Moroccan Asmae ElMoudir, that won for cutting-edge crossbreed docudrama and Moroccan Oscar entry “The Mother of All Lies,” in which ElMoudir utilizes clay creatures made by her daddy to recreate events from her household’s past in Casablanca.
“Incident” got the Best Brief DocudramaAward The movie rebuilds a Chicago authorities capturing in 2018, rebuilding the occasion and its prompt results from numerous viewpoints. POV and POV Shorts approved the Best Curated Collection and Best Short-Form Collection Honors, both for the 2nd year straight.

The hosts attached to winners in Warsaw, New York City, London, Johannesburg, Berlin, Chicago, Santiago, Talinn, Jiddah, Bristol, Paris, Marrakech, and Los Angeles throughout the program, that provided approval speeches.
Dominic Asmall Willsdon, IDA’s brand-new Exec Supervisor that begins his obligations on January 8, 2024, supplied the closing declaration: “In the coming years, across all that IDA does, our task is to become as international as we can be. You see it already. Look at this year’s award nominees, who works at IDA, who’s on the board now, this year’s grant recipients, and who’s contributing to the magazine…”
IDA paid regard to 76 reporters eliminated at work this year around the world.
