Ireland, Alec’s oldest child whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger, was born on Oct. 23, 1995. In recent years, Alec’s come to terms with his little girl becoming a woman, leaving hilarious dad comments on her modeling photos. Although Hilaria is her stepmother, the pair share a special relationship considering Ireland was grown when Hilaria married Alec in 2012.
“As someone who loves her, my job was not to step in and take over . . . but rather respect what had been for the first 15 years of her life and then become a part of that, in a way that works for everyone,” Hilaria wrote in April 2019. “So yes, sometimes my language about my biological children does not include her. Because I did not birth her and I never want to disrespect the fact that she has a wonderful mother. But this will never take away from how much I love her, need her in my life, and think that she is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.”
On May 18, Ireland announced that she made Alex and Hilaria grandparents, as she gave birth to her first child with her boyfriend, RAC (aka André Allen Anjos) — a daughter named Holland.
