Kash Patel, born in 1980 to Indian immigrant parents and raised in Garden City, New York, gained prominence in 2018 as an aide to Rep. Devin Nunes. Patel graduated from the University of Richmond in 2002 and earned a law degree from Pace University in 2005. He is a lawyer admitted to practice in New York but no longer eligible to practice in Florida.
