Hennessy revealed that her father has been battling stage 4 cancer for most of the past decade, with the illness progressing to a brain tumor about five years ago. The recent news of David falling down the stairs and breaking his back has exacerbated their financial burden.
In a statement to Rolling Stone, Johansen expressed the severity of his condition and the urgent need for help. The funds raised will be used for essential expenses such as full-time nursing, physical therapy, and day-to-day living costs.
Support for Johansen continues to pour in from the entertainment industry, with donations ranging from $250 to $5,000. The exact amount raised for the fund has not been disclosed, but the goal is to provide much-needed assistance to Johansen during this challenging time.
