Katy Perry Faces Criticism Over New Song “OK”
Katy Perry, former judge on American Idol, is facing backlash from one of her ex-contestants. Steven James took to social media to express his disapproval of Perry’s latest song, “OK,” comparing her to the person who eliminated him from the show five years ago.
The criticism didn’t stop there, as other commenters joined in with harsh opinions such as “Katy, this is not OK” and “This is not the same Katy Perry that made the one that got away.” Perry, who recently left American Idol and released her sixth studio album, has been under scrutiny for her latest music releases.
In a recent deluxe edition of her album, Perry added four new songs, including “OK.” Unfortunately, the reception has not been positive. The Hollywood Reporter even named her as one of Hollywood’s biggest losers in 2024, citing her comeback album “143” as a disappointment. Despite this setback, there are hopes for Perry’s upcoming dance party tour and future albums to be a success.
