Donna Kelce, a newcomer to acting, has landed roles in two Hallmark Christmas movies this season. She makes a cameo in Christmas On Call, a holiday film with a OneChicago twist starring Sara Canning and Ser’Darius Blain. Additionally, she stars in Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story alongside Hunter King and Tyler Hynes.
The first holiday movie has already premiered on the Hallmark Channel, prompting curiosity about Kelce’s experience and reception from her grandkids.
In an interview with People Magazine at Arrowhead Stadium, Kelce described her acting debut as “so awesome.” She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn from seasoned Hallmark movie veterans.
In Christmas On Call, Kelce’s character, DeeDee, serves up Philly cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, donning an Eagles jersey with her son Jason’s retired number. In Holiday Touchdown, she works at a BBQ restaurant in Kansas City, filming at Arrowhead Stadium where she has spent the past 11 years.
After the premiere of Christmas On Call, Kelce’s grandchildren, Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett, couldn’t get enough of seeing their grandma on screen. They loved her performance so much that they repeatedly asked to watch the movie again.
Next up, audiences can catch Kelce in Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story premiering on November 30 at 8 p.m. Eastern on the Hallmark Channel. Peacock subscribers can also stream the movie within 72 hours after the premiere.
