Diddy and Lil Uzi Vert found themselves in the firing line this week when the City Girls jumped on Instagram Live with internet comedian Terri Joe.
Yung Miami and JT went live with Terri — a character created by TikTok star Kelon Campbell a.k.a. Psyiconic, who is described as a white southern Christian woman with bigoted views — on Wednesday (October 25) as part of the promo run for their new album RAW.
The jokes were flying during the 20-minute broadcast as Terri Joe poked fun at the Florida duo for their “scamming” past, music and appearance, among other things.
Miami and JT weren’t the only targets of Terri’s humor, though, as she also threw shade at their respective partners, Diddy and Lil Uzi Vert.
At one point during the conversation, Yung Miami told Terri Joe (who is played by a man), “I like you better as a man,” to which the TikToker replied in quick-witted fashion: “You think P [Diddy] said the same thing to you?”
All three laughed hysterically at the rebuttal.
Just minutes later, Uzi caught a stray when Terri revealed that she was sat in her closet and didn’t want to leave due to there being “gangs outside” her home.
After JT joked, “I thought you been came out the closet, baby,” Terri responded, “When is Uzi gonna come out [the closet]?”
“Baby, he ain’t never been in the closet,” JT replied. “He’s out with me.”
Diddy and Lil Uzi Vert have both faced speculation surrounding their sexuality. Last year, the husband of Puff’s ex, Cassie, alluded to the Bad Boy boss being “in the closet.”
“Happy Pride to all my LGBTQ+ friends,” wrote fitness trainer Alex Fine, who married Cassie in 2019 and shares two children with the R&B singer, on his Instagram Stories.
“Attached is a charity that helps people who are in the closet and GOTTA MOVE ON. Along with other resources,” he added, not-so-subtly referencing Diddy’s “Gotta Move On” single.
Earlier this month, 50 Cent cited the apparent homoerotic energy at Puff’s parties as the reason he steers clear of them.
“That’s why I don’t be going to them Puffy parties,” he said during a performance on his Final Lap Tour. “That n-gga hug you from the front and the back at the same time? Fuck you talking ’bout?
“I mean, if you into that, you into that. I’m fine with it. Each to his own. I’m just saying this ain’t my motherfuckin’ kind of party. I’m uncomfortable. I think I belong in the girls’ bathroom when shit like that is going on.”
Uzi has dealt with similar rumors thanks to their androgynous nature — namely their sassy, Hangover-inspired alter-ego “Leslie” and decision to change their pronouns to “they” and “them.”
The Philadelphia rapper addressed the speculation in fiery fashion this past summer, using the opening lines of their Pink Tape album to set the record straight on their sexuality.
“First of all, I fuck eight bitches a day/ How could you ever say Lil Uzi gay?/ Fuck four of ’em raw, fuck four of ’em safe/ Think I’m splittin’ the odds before you to debate,” they rapped on the intro track “Flooded the Face.”
Terri Joe, meanwhile, previously made headlines in June when she claimed that Soulja Boy once “ate [her] ass,” prompting a hilarious reaction from the “Crank That” rapper.
