LI Restaurant, a beloved establishment in Damansara Jaya, will be closing its doors on March 2, 2025, after nine years of operation. The decision to close was not forced upon the founders, but rather a conclusion they reached after careful consideration. In an interview with Malay Mail, co-founder Lee Ziyan expressed that it was time to open their hearts to new beginnings.
LI Restaurant was founded by three graduates of the William Angliss Institute in Melbourne, Australia, back in 2016. With a background in public relations, marketing, culinary arts, and barista skills, the founders brought a fresh perspective to the Malaysian F&B scene. Their commitment to serving their local community was evident in their approach to business.
As they bid farewell to LI Restaurant, the founders look ahead to growing their Provisions brand. Both Provisions and Locus, their sister locations, will offer updated menus featuring long-time favorite dishes from LI Restaurant. This transition is part of their strategy to focus on the expansion of Provisions Hospitality Group and strengthen their presence in the F&B industry.
Moving forward, the founders emphasize the importance of consistency, adaptability, and team care in the F&B business. By prioritizing these values, they aim to build a thriving ecosystem within the Provisions Hospitality Group. While saying goodbye to LI Restaurant is bittersweet, the founders are grateful for the support they’ve received and look forward to creating new experiences filled with love, warmth, and inspiration.
