Exciting news for fans of the “Scream” franchise as Courteney Cox is confirmed to reprise her role as Gale Weathers in the upcoming “Scream 7” movie. Joining her in the cast are returning actress Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, along with new additions Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, and Mason Gooding.
The highly anticipated seventh installment of this meta-horror series is scheduled for release on Feb. 27, 2026. Created by Kevin Williamson and the late Wes Craven, “Scream” gained popularity in the 1990s for its clever take on slasher film tropes.
Kevin Williamson will be taking on the role of director, with Guy Busick writing the script for the film. The production team includes James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein from Project X Entertainment.
Following the success of “Scream 5” in 2022, which introduced a new generation of fans to the franchise, the return of Courteney Cox and Neve Campbell is sure to excite longtime followers. The film was a major success at the box office, appealing to both new and old fans of the series.
