Comedians Setup a Heist in ‘Stealing Jokes’ Trailer Featuring Jeff Dye

“You want me to put my name on your show?” Freestyle Digital Media has revealed an official trailer for a comedy movie titled Stealing Jokes, a meta comedy about get up comics getting revenge. That is written and directed by comic Mike Younger, who can also be initially from Detroit, and it was filmed in Detroit; this launch is timed to his new Rocket Comedy tour this month earlier than hitting VOD in November to observe at dwelling. Comic Jake Burman and pals head out on tour. After getting stiffed for his or her pay on their first gig they rob the venue which units the stage for a hilarious Ocean’s Eleven-esque romp by way of the comedy underworld. Younger says: “I’ve always wanted to make a film about comedians getting their due. After years opening for Bob Saget and seeing firsthand the global influence of stand-up comedy, I thought what better way to tell the story than through an underdog tale about standup comics.” The movie stars Jeff Dye, Dustin Ybarra, Ha Ha Davis, Luke Null, and plenty of different comedians you could (or could not) acknowledge. Stealing Jokes facilities on a comic and his pals who, after setting out on a comedy tour, get bilked out of their promised charges on the primary evening. They resolve to rob the venue, resulting in a heist involving the underworld of the comedy scene. Stealing Jokes is a comedy written and directed by American comic / indie filmmaker Mike Younger, director of the opposite very tiny indie movies My Man is a Loser and A Stand Up Man beforehand. Produced by Jeremy Alter and Michael Manasseri. It was filmed principally in Detroit. THR provides: “The release is timed to the start of Young’s Rocket Comedy tour, which launches its 25-city run in Phoenix on October 11th.
