Colony’s Star Boulevard outlet is a chic coworking space with plush couches, crystalline chandeliers, and gilded décor. However, the space will sadly be closing its doors in March 2025 after facing challenges due to the pandemic.
Founded in 2019 with an investment of almost RM5 million, Colony’s Star Boulevard outlet was initially successful in booking high-profile events. However, the pandemic brought events to a halt, making it difficult for the space to operate.
Despite the closure, Colony’s Mont Kiara location is thriving, showcasing the success of their events-centric coworking model. The decision to close the Star Boulevard outlet was a tough one for founder Timothy Tiah, but he believes it was the right move for the business.
Timothy emphasizes the importance of cutting losses even in good times to ensure the overall success of the business. By focusing on new openings and acquisitions, such as their more affordable working brand Jerry and Dough by Meg, Colony is looking towards a bright future.
Although Colony @ Star Boulevard will be closing soon, Timothy remains optimistic about the company’s continued growth and success. Visit Colony’s website to learn more about their coworking spaces and stay updated on their latest developments.
