Noah Hawley is making his return to feature films after his 2019 movie “Lucy In The Sky” and his successful run on the hit series “Fargo.” His next project, “Nowhere Fast,” will dive into the thriller crime genre with the talented Chris Pine (“The Outlaw King”) as the lead actor. This casting choice is a major win for the film.
Produced by 26 Keys Productions and 30WEST, with 30WEST also providing financing, “Nowhere Fast” is written and directed by Hawley. The film follows a small-town criminal who accidentally kills his boss’s nephew, setting off a series of events.
30WEST will co-represent the U.S. rights alongside CAA Media Finance, while AGC International will handle the foreign rights. Chris Pine is no stranger to Texas thrillers, having previously starred in “Hell Or High Water.”
Hawley’s recent projects include the upcoming series “Alien: Earth,” a spinoff from the “Alien” franchise. He was also linked to a “Star Trek” film, possibly explaining his connection to Pine, who portrayed Captain Kirk in the recent films.
As casting for “Nowhere Fast” continues, Hawley is known for bringing out career-defining performances from his actors. It will be exciting to see who joins Pine in this promising project. Subscribe to The Playlist Newsletter for more movie news and updates.
