Funcom recently announced the release date for Dune: Awakening, along with some exciting news for eager players. The game is set to debut on May 20, 2025, and will be available for PC users on Steam for $49.99. To add to the excitement, a new trailer was released showcasing the vast and immersive world of Arrakis within the game.
Additionally, Funcom shared that players can start creating their characters now by downloading the character creation tool on Steam. This download is free and also includes a benchmark mode to help players determine if their computer can handle the game. Characters created in advance can be imported into the full game upon its launch in May. Plus, those who download the character creator and benchmark mode early will receive a code for an exclusive in-game Frameblade knife skin.
Preorder options are also available for Dune: Awakening, offering additional in-game bonuses to early buyers. Preordering the game will grant players the Terrarium of Muad’Dib, a decorative item for in-game bases featuring the desert mouse from Arrakis.
