In a recent interview about Paramount+‘s “1923,” actor Brandon Sklenar discussed rumors about being considered for the lead in Marvel’s cosmic-superhero Disney+ series “Nova” and expressed interest in playing Batman for the new DCU in “The Brave & The Bold.” Sklenar mentioned that meeting with Marvel Studios/Marvel Television to discuss the “Nova” casting rumors would be cool and expressed his excitement at the possibility of playing Batman, calling it a dream role.
DC Comics fans will be familiar with filmmaker Andy Muschietti’s involvement in “The Brave & The Bold,” originally set to be released in 2023 but delayed due to his work on the HBO prequel horror series “Welcome To Derry.” The film will feature Bruce Wayne in a fatherly role alongside his son, Damian Wayne.
“Nova” is seen as a spinoff of “Guardians of The Galaxy,” focusing on Richard Rider rebuilding the Nova Corps after it is destroyed by Thanos. The concept is likened to Marvel’s version of “Green Lantern” set in the MCU’s cosmic universe.
Both projects offer the potential to catapult actors to stardom, although casting decisions are still up in the air at this time.
