Blink-182 singer-bassist and co-founding member Mark Hoppus has introduced Fahrenheit-182, his new memoir co-written with Sellout creator Dan Ozzi. The e-book hits cabinets on April 8, 2025 through Dey Road Books. In a cheeky infomercial-style video, Hoppus guarantees the memoir will get into skateboarding, ’90s music, and band breakups, in addition to his prognosis with most cancers, which he’s since handled with chemotherapy.
“This is a story of what happens when an angst-ridden kid who grew up in the desert experiences his parents’ bitter divorce, moves around the country, switches identities from dork to goth to skate punk, and eventually meets his best friend who just so happens to be his musical soulmate,” reads an outline for the e-book. “Threaded through with the very human story of a constant battle with anxiety and Mark’s public battle and triumph over cancer, Fahrenheit-182 is a delight for fans and also a funny, smart, and relatable memoir for anyone who has wanted to quit but kept going.”
Hoppus isn’t the primary member of Blink-182 to write down a e-book. Travis Barker launched his personal memoir, Can I Say: Residing Massive, Dishonest Loss of life, and Drums, Drums, Drums, again in 2016, and Tom DeLonge revealed the sci-fi novel Trinity this previous June. As for Ozzi, that is the second memoir he’s co-written with an artist, following 2016’s Tranny: Confessions of Punk Rock’s Most Notorious Anarchist Sellout by In opposition to Me! singer Laura Jane Grace.
Earlier this month, Blink-182 rolled out an expanded model of One Extra Time…, their 2023 reunion album that includes the band’s basic lineup.
