Blink-182 and Alkaline Trio are teaming up for a special benefit concert at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles to support ongoing fire relief efforts. The concert is scheduled for February 13, and tickets are currently available for purchase. 100% of the proceeds from the show will go towards benefiting organizations such as the Pasadena Humane Society, California Fire Department, LAFD Foundation, and ARC Firefighter Fund.
This event will serve as a mini reunion for Blink-182 and Alkaline Trio, as Matt Skiba previously played guitar in Blink-182 for seven years. Tom DeLonge, the original guitarist for Blink-182, took a hiatus in 2015, but has since rejoined Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker in 2022. Blink-182 recently released their reunion album “One More Time…” in 2023, while Alkaline Trio dropped “Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs” last year.
In addition to this benefit concert, there are several other wildfire relief events scheduled to take place in California in the coming weeks. FireAid features a star-studded lineup including Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and more. Another event, I Love LA, will showcase artists like Bright Eyes, Jim James, and Andrew Bird. Various compilation albums, such as “Staying” and “Love Los Angeles,” are also contributing funds to support fire relief programs in the Los Angeles area.
