My attempt to contact Bill Murray via email did not go as planned. The Super Bowl ads on Sunday included a 15-second spot from Yahoo featuring Murray looking into a mirror and seeing a dog. He then shared his email address, billhimself@yahoo.com, and expressed a need for help.
Unfortunately, attempts to contact Murray through this email address resulted in an invalid domain error or no response at all. Other outlets reported quirky exchanges with the address, mostly focusing on Murray’s concern about his potential transformation into a dog.
It is unclear if the email address has been shut down, and inquiries have been made to Yahoo for clarification. Prior to the game, Yahoo stated that the commercial was co-written by Murray, his brother Brian Doyle-Murray, and collaborator Mitch Glazer, with the TV spot just being the beginning.
The aftermath of Sunday’s Super Bowl ads and game has revealed winners and losers, including a record number of celebrity ad spots. A total of 57 out of 94 product ads featured celebrities, up 22 percent from the previous year. Sources suggest that A-listers were paid fees ranging from $3-$5 million to appear in commercials during this year’s game.

Glen Powell in a Ram Trucks ad and Harrison Ford in Jeep’s “Freedom” spot were among the top performers.
