A benefit concert has been announced to support victims of the California wildfires. FireAid will take place on Thursday, January 30 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The lineup for the show will be revealed soon. All proceeds from the event will benefit a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rebuilding infrastructure, helping displaced families, and advancing fire prevention technologies in Los Angeles. The concert is organized by Shelli, Irving, and the Azoff Family, with support from LiveNation and AEG Presents.
Following the devastating fires, many musicians and their families have been forced to evacuate their homes. Some artists, such as Zachary Cole Smith from Diiv, Tim Darcy, Fat Tony, and Lorely Rodriguez from Empress Of, are in need of assistance to cover repairs and expenses. Sadie Dupuis from Speedy Ortiz recently shared a spreadsheet listing music industry professionals who have lost their homes in the fires, along with links for donations. For the latest updates on evacuations, refer to the Los Angeles County emergency page.
