Barbie took home a Grammy for its soundtrack album, while Oppenheimer captured an honor for its rating. Yet, it was Taylor Swift that made the most significant sprinkle.
It’s Taylor Swift’s globe currently, and we’re all simply residing in it. Simply when you assumed 2023 was securely in the publications as the main year of Taylor Swift, information originates from the celebrity herself that she’s obtained a new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” appearing on April 19. She introduced the launch while approving her 13th Grammy to day, claiming, “I know the way the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the fans’ passion. So, I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out April 19. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I’m going to go post the cover right now. Thank you. I love you!”
Certainly, 2024 is mosting likely to be an additional large one for Swifties. Yet what else was 2023 everything about? Barbenheimer, certainly, and the ticket office sensation did not leave the Grammy’s empty-handed. Barbie won an honor for its soundtrack and “best song written for visual media” for Billie Eilish O’Connell & & Finneas O’Connell’s “What Was I Made For.” At The Same Time, Ludwig Göransson won a rating Grammy for Oppenheimer, while John Williams took home his 26th (!) Grammy for his track off the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate soundtrack, “Helena’s Theme.”
All this bodes well for Oppenheimer winning for its rating at the Academy Honors, which would certainly note Göransson’s 2nd Oscar following his win for Black Panther– if he wins (basically a lock).
