“This year, we decided to team up with HateAid, a nonprofit that supports those affected by cyberbullying. We worked with Louis Willenberg, a Berlin-based designer, to create our costumes, which shared the messages: ‘Scarier than any costume,’ ‘Stop hate — now,’ ‘Human rights also count online,’ ‘Over 50% of young people experience hate online,’ and ‘Hate can kill.’ We’re particularly passionate about this message because it primarily affects our generation.”
