I had just met James in person. He’s a fantastic person. I got the offer for it, mulled over it for a couple of days, but I didn’t want to live in London for six months out of the year for whatever reason.”
She had intriguing roles lined up, including one with Seth McFarlane, which made her hesitant about taking on the “Guardians” role. Seyfried expressed concerns about potentially being part of Marvel’s first flop and preferred a different opportunity that came her way. In the end, Seyfried declined the offer to play Gamora, a decision she does not regret.
