Alisyn Camerota is leaving CNN, with her final show scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Camerota made the announcement on social media shortly before her last show, encouraging fans to watch her sign off at 1:50 p.m. PT.
Having anchored CNN’s morning show New Day from 2015 to 2021, Camerota has also hosted programs like CNN Newsroom with Victor Blackwell and CNN Tonight with Jake Tapper and Laura Coates. Recently, she has been a floating political commentator for the network and a correspondent for The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper.
Before joining CNN, Camerota spent 16 years in various roles at Fox News, including Fox & Friends and Fox & Friends Weekends. She is also an accomplished author with a novel, Amanda Wakes Up, and a memoir, Combat Love, to her name.
In September, Camerota shared the heartbreaking news of her husband Tim Lewis’s passing from pancreatic cancer after 23 years of marriage. She expressed her grief on social media, describing Tim as a phenomenal father, husband, friend, and role model, and emphasized the strength and stability he brought to their family.
